DISCUSSERS!

Well this blog is the 'minutes' of the discussions the following had on various hypothetical marketing cases:

CIBI

Belongs to Chennai, during school days was educationally spoilt by constant mistaken admiration , graduated from IIT Kharagpur in Industrial Engg ,God knows how, and now working for an upcoming steel company in Orissa thus working according to his college motto TO THE SERVICE OF THE NATION!
And btw.. its me!

OMKAR

aka OK! Belongs to Berhampur, a not-so-nationally-known, but the busiest commodity trading town of Orissa (or rather Odisha...). He chucked away his studies at 15 to pursue the obvious company of the bat and the ball but life chucked him back to studies within a year. So in order to counter the frustration of being a part of the education system, he set up his own internet cafe business (most probably the first one in that town!!) and facing instant strong competition (coz its a town where every profit making venture is competitive!) instigated the manager in him and he marketed and operated his business so effectively and efficiently that it remained a success till he leased it out so as to pursue an MBA.
And he pursued it in IT and Project Management while being pampered by his Marketing professors. And he works as a Project Executive and was befriended by me as I have an eye for smartness! ;-)

MOM

Friends, who a
re spending their time in the corporate sector should immediately realize that MOM is commonly expanded as Minutes of Meeting which is prepared by every Management Trainee in company meetings .... ;-)
This blog is the 'minutes' of the discussions between me and my colleague conducted during our free time (especially when waiting for dinner at the restaurants) on arbitrary and hypothetical case studies put forth b
y me on Strategic Marketing. These case studies are more or less like an analysis of situations in some hypothetical situation is considered in which a strategy supported by substantial argument is required for the business considered in the case to sustain and flourish in the market.
All conceptual contents discussed in this blog are generated purely from our understanding of marketing due to our supposedly 'short' work experience and any resemblance to contents in academic literature is purely coincidental.
Okay, lets get started..

The pattern in which the blog will proceed is as follows:
1. Firstly, we introduce the both of us, the discussers (yeah, its actually a word!)and our skills and knowledge which makes us to qualify in discussing about strategic marketing.
2. Introduction to marketing - as explained from the 'field'(s)!
3. Case Studies
4. Occasionally supply chain jargons used will be explained.
So here we go ...
